These 2 photos are ALF factory photos.  1939 American LaFrance  Type 512 THSO Rescue 100’ aerial ladder.  Registered No. 8078.  Aerial #C-651.  Four section steel, hydraulic operated aerial ladder.  Served in Reno from 1940 to 1986.
1939 ALF Rescue 100 on display at the International Fire Chief's Convention in Spokane, WA in August 1940.  The aerial was ordered from ALF for $18,525 in April and complete in time to be displayed at the convention prior to being delivered in Reno.  Reno Fire Chief George Twaddle in the Operator's seat.
