Tickets to the Reno Fireman's Ball.  First Annual Ball 1938, #85.  Third Annual Ball 1940, #1493.  Ninth Annual Ball 1947, #1429.  The proceeds from these events were used to provide benefits to the widows and orphans of Association members and to provide a group life insurance policy for Association members.

Advertising Poster on display at IAFF L-731 Union office. April 14, 1972.  Reno Firefighters created a fund to help build a burn center in Washoe Medical Center.  It was ultimately decided that the Reno area was too small to support a dedicated burn center so the idea was dropped.  Reno area burn survivors are sent to burn centers in Las Vegas, NV or Davis, CA.
Advertising Poster on display at IAFF L-731 Union office.  During the 1970s Reno Firefighters hosted picnics with the public invited to participate.  Alcohol was served. Ultimately the picnics were discontinued because the cost of liability insurance became prohibitive.

May 18, 1988 Circus Ticket to the All American Circus sponsored by the Reno Firefighters Association.  IAFF L-731 sponsored Circus performances as fundraising events during the 1980s.  The events were discontinued because of public objections to telemarketers and one year the marketing firm defaulted on payments to L-731 and we decided to pay the costs of the Circus out of pocket since the tickets had already been sold.
