Conduct of the Bid
|
Only members who have placed a request to participate, may bid. The due date was 0830 10 April 2006. | |

Bidding begins, in order, at 0800 02 May 2006. Bid order is Red/Green/Blue. | |
|
Your current position is not vacant until you bid out of it. | |
|
When your bid time arrives, you may: |
|
Bid into a vacant position. This will open your position for members that follow. | |
|
Not bid. You will maintain your current placement. | |
|
(Red only) Pass on your bid. This vacates your position, and another member may take it. You will then wait until 1216, when bidding resumes in seniority order. |
The Fence
|
Red members may only bid Red positions, unless they choose to pass. | |
|
Green members may bid all open positions. | |
|
Blue members may bid all open positions. |
Probationary Personnel
|
Are those members not confirmed in their positions by 1800 of 02 May 2006. | |
|
Are spectators. They may not bid. | |
|
Captains and Operators will have positions held for them on their side of the fence. This may result in some positions not being available for bidding. |
HazMat and EMT-I
|
If there exist more HazMat Captains than there are open HazMat Captain positions, then bidding for those positions will be limited to HazMat team Captains. | |
|
If there exist more HazMat Operators than there are open HazMat Operator positions, then bidding for those positions will be limited to HazMat team Operators. | |
|
If there exist more HazMat Fire Fighters than there are open HazMat Fire Fighter positions, then bidding for those positions will be limited to HazMat team Fire Fighters. | |
|
If a member is the last remaining EMT-I on a designated EMT-I apparatus, they may not vacate their position. |
FF1 and FF2
|
Fire Fighter positions are generic; seniority between the two FF's bid into a station decides placement as FF1 and FF2. |
